Cookie Policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026

This policy covers the public Aventail website operated by Loc.ai Ltd. It explains the cookies and similar browser storage the website uses. Aventail Control and Workspace are covered separately in our Privacy Policy.

1. Your choices

When you first visit, we ask whether to allow four optional services. All are off until you switch them on, and rejecting them does not change how the rest of the website works. Your choice is stored on your device for six months. You can change it at any time.

If your browser does not let us store your choice, optional company identification, advertising measurement and website analytics stay off.

2. Necessary storage

Name Where Purpose Duration
aventail_consent localStorage (this site) Remembers your choices on this page and the version of this notice they apply to. Six months, then we ask again
aventail_consent_revoked First-party cookie (this site) Set only if your browser refuses to save a refusal or withdrawal, so an earlier grant is never treated as still valid. Contains no identifier. Six months, or removed when your next choice saves

The private editing area of this website also uses sign-in storage for authorised staff. It is not used for visitors.

3. Optional: company visitor identification (Apollo.io)

Status: on, but only for visitors who allow it, and only on the public pages of aventail.co.uk.

If you allow it, the Apollo.io website tracker runs only on the public pages of aventail.co.uk. It never runs in our private editing area or on pages whose web address contains anything other than campaign codes, and it is skipped when the address of the page you came from contains anything other than campaign codes. Campaign code values are passed on as they appear; we do not inspect or clean them. These checks reduce, but cannot rule out, personal details reaching Apollo.io in a web address. It is used to identify the organisation behind a visit so we can understand which companies are interested in Aventail.

Apollo.io receives the web address of each public page you open, the referring page, campaign codes, a random browser identifier and, as with any web request, your IP address and browser details. This is not anonymous. The tracker can also load a script from LiveIntent, which may try to match your browser to hashed email identifiers held by LiveIntent and send them to Apollo.io. We do not send form entries or email addresses you type on this website to Apollo.io.

The Apollo.io tracker stores these items in your browser on our website:

Name Purpose Duration
apolloAnonId A random browser identifier created by the Apollo.io tracker. Until you clear it. We delete it when you withdraw or have not consented.
69b146dc35447c001db4dc85_canTrack Apollo.io’s answer to whether this visit may be tracked. 24 hours
69b146dc35447c001db4dc85_eventQueue Page visits waiting to be sent to Apollo.io. Until sent or cleared. We delete it when you withdraw.
liveIntentData Hashed email identifiers returned by LiveIntent, if Apollo.io allows matching for the visit. 24 hours

LiveIntent and Apollo.io may also set their own cookies on their own domains. We cannot see, control or delete those from our website. See the Apollo.io privacy policy and the LiveIntent privacy policy.

If you withdraw, we save your new choice, delete the items above from your browser and reload the page so the tracker stops running.

4. Optional: external contact form (HubSpot)

Our contact form is provided by HubSpot. It loads only when you choose “Load contact form” on the contact page or allow it in your preferences. Once loaded, HubSpot may set its own cookies, such as hubspotutk, and receives what you submit in the form. You can always email us instead. See the HubSpot privacy policy.

The Aventail™ Connect beta access form on the Connect page is our own form, not a HubSpot frame. It does not load HubSpot tracking cookies. Your email address is sent from our server to HubSpot only when you submit. On submission, Cloudflare Turnstile runs a security check, which may use technical information about your browser and device for that purpose. This check is part of handling your request and does not change your cookie choices.

Our booking buttons open HubSpot calendar pages in a new tab. Those pages are governed by HubSpot’s own notices.

5. Optional: advertising measurement (Google Ads)

This is off unless you switch it on. If you allow it, the standard Google Ads tag loads only on our private AI download page (aventail.co.uk/private-ai), and only to measure whether a visit from one of our Google ads leads to a click on a desktop app download. Google receives the Google Ads click identifier from the ad link, browser and device data such as your IP address, the page address without its query string, and the fact that a download link was clicked. We do not send names, email addresses, documents or anything you type. Personalised advertising signals are off, and we do not use remarketing, enhanced conversions or Google Analytics. A click counts only as interest in downloading; it does not tell us whether the app was installed or used. Downloads work the same whether or not you allow this.

Google Ads may set first-party cookies on aventail.co.uk such as _gcl_au and _gcl_aw (up to 90 days) and its own cookies on Google domains. When you withdraw, or your choice expires, we stop the tag by reloading the page and delete these aventail.co.uk cookies. Google’s own-domain cookies are controlled by Google; see the Google advertising policy. Withdraw at any time with “Cookie preferences” in the footer.

6. Optional: website analytics (PostHog)

With your separate website analytics choice, PostHog measures visits to aventail.co.uk/private-ai, views of its download and setup sections, download and help clicks, and opening the trust details. It is off by default, including for earlier saved choices, and never runs on preview pages or other website pages.

Events are sent to a separate EU-hosted website project, not linked to product accounts. They include an anonymous browser identifier held in memory for this visit, browser and operating system details, controlled campaign labels and the page address without queries or fragments. Referrers are reduced to their origin. As with any request, PostHog receives your IP address. We do not identify people, record sessions, capture typed content, prompts, documents or email addresses, or request feature flags.

The SDK stores only its consent marker, aventail_website_ph_consent, in localStorage while active; event identifiers and attribution stay in memory, not cookies or persistent analytics storage. Your separate website choice is stored with the necessary consent record for up to six months. On withdrawal, expiry or leaving this page, we stop new sends, discard pending events and clear the marker and memory. Events already received cannot be recalled. No historical clicks are replayed if you opt in later. Downloads work without analytics; download clicks do not verify installation or a first model response. See PostHog’s privacy notice.

7. Managing storage in your browser

You can also clear site data or block storage in your browser settings. If you clear it, we will ask for your choices again.
